Introduction
It's all about making a difference!
Moving image is a great medium but what's important is how you use it to make a difference.
At Ponto Combo and Noon Productions, we believe that our many years of experience and our knowledge of making movies, documentaries, corporate and community videos allows us to reproduce on screen the emotion that will leave a lasting impression on viewers.
In this section, we show you how videos can make a difference to the life of people who made or watched them.
"Our experience with Ponto Combo has been extremely positive. Compared to other media production companies, Bruno Col, Producer and Managing Director, listened carefully to our brief and fully delivered on what we wanted. The Ponto Combo team were all very professional, they were very accommodating of our times lines and budget restrictions. For organisations in the social sector its worth noting that Bruno has top notch skills in making a diverse range of interviewees feel comfortable. Ponto Combo brought creative fresh ideas and a strong desire to contribute to the community sector. I recommend them to you without hesitation."

VCOSS 60th Anniversary documentary
"We hope this documentary will develop itself with more community members wishing to participate and offer to share their memories of their time at VCOSS. This project is "organic" and needs to evolve and to become an exceptional educational and historical tool for the whole community sector in Victoria".
Bruno Col, Producer
Background of the project:
The annual Victorian Council of Social Service (VCOSS) Congress was held in Melbourne on the 3rd and 4th August 2006. As it was the 60th anniversary of the founding of VCOSS the overall theme of Congress was "Strong Foundations - Working for a Fairer Future".
The aim of the VCOSS Congress 2006 was to bring together learning from the development of the community sector in Victoria over more than half a century, and to address contemporary policy and practice challenges posed from outside, inside and across the sector.
The Congress has provided an excellent opportunity for community members, organisations across the board, government personnel and the business community to meet a diverse range of presenters and participants, to get up to date with emerging policy issues in the lead up to the State election and to strengthen their personal and professional networks.
Outcome:
Ponto Combo produced in a short time a 30-minute documentary for VCOSS to acknowledge sixty years of collaboration and advocacy for social justice. This documentary was shown in front of a large audience during VCOSS 60th birthday party held in the community space at the National Australian Bank Building at the Docklands, Melbourne. The film received a warm welcome and also helped to engage the audience and guest speakers.
